Berlin-Brandenburg Urban Node
The Berlin-Brandenburg capital region is an important European transport hub, a turnstile for European goods and passenger traffic and a dynamic space which plays a role in European integration and competitiveness. It is where three of the European Union’s nine trans-European Core Network Corridors intersect. This concentration means that the capital region is anchored in the trans-European transport network as the Berlin-Brandenburg urban node.
Public and private partners from the capital region therefore have the opportunity to acquire direct EU funding (including Connecting Europe Facility – CEF) for development around the hubs and in this node and to make use of the opportunities which arise from this location with a special role in European transport policy.
