SCANDRIA®: The shortest route between Scandinavia and the Adriatic Sea
The Scandinavian-Adriatic Corridor, or Scandria®Corridor for short, is a geographical corridor extending from Oslo and Helsinki via Stockholm, Berlin and Vienna to the northern Adriatic Sea and comprising more than a dozen metropolitan regions. Large parts of it are included in the Scandinavia-Mediterranean Corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network. The term Scandria® stands for a strategic initiative with partnerships whose aim it is to strengthen the shortest geographic link between Scandinavia and the Adriatic Sea as a regional development and transport axis. Development of the Scandria®Corridor represents an opportunity for the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region to generate momentum for economic and regional development.
